Love = Endings

Love is endings, as it equals to the number 9 in numerology.

With everything that love brings in, it also inspires us to shed the old skins of our past selves in order to completely attain it, whether that be fear, resistance, hatred, a need for control, egoist ideologies, or something more.

Love is the ultimate warrior; the ultimate blade-slinger; the ultimate slasher-film. Because in order to achieve it at its highest vibration, it means bush whacking through all that no longer serves us, and slowly sloughing it away to appreciate life as more aligned versions of ourselves.

6 September 2017 Full Moon (Plus, Mercury goes direct and Neptune Retrograde)

The moon rose high in the sky in a burnt orange hue, last evening. Fall appears to be nearing. The mystery of the moon seems to grow somehow more mysterious at this time of the year. A glow came over my heart at the thought of brisk night walks through the woods, cool earth beneath my feet through the day, and a special permission from nature to turn within a little longer, and a little more often.

This month, the Harvest Moon appears full in the sign of Pisces, giving us the perfect floating current from summer into fall (fire into water), and the grace to sink into the emotions from whatever the fiery new moon and solar eclipse in Leo brought up for us. This full moon is the time to immerse ourselves in reflection and direction. It is time to flow.

My Total Solar Eclipse Experience, Part II

I was starting to smile more and more as we set up camp. "What?" Chris asked. "You don't even understand what you did, just now, finding that honeysuckle," I looked at him with grateful eyes. "What? What do you mean?" At that moment I felt the urgency hit me- I really needed to pee. "I'll tell you as soon as I get back from the bathroom."

The bathroom was a couple minute walk away, and again I felt my eyes roll as I was thinking about how stupid it was to be camping and not be allowed to pee in the woods, and then the image of the honeysuckle buzzed into my mind. Rachel. I thought to myself. Get a hold of yourself. All of this is happening for a reason. You are human, and it's okay if you allow yourself to get frustrated and feel anger and fear and disappointment for a while, but it's not okay to get stuck in it. You've had your moment. You've gotten the sign to help dig you back up and out. Now use it, and move on. Look for the actual reason: Why are you really here? …

My Total Solar Eclipse Experience, Part I

It was Thursday evening of last week that I went out for a walk through my favourite wooded trail in Grand Rapids. I was going at a pretty nice clip but having to keep an eye on the ground at the path, as there was a lot of overgrowth that I was needed to wade through. I suddenly felt the need to stop and look up- something was calling for my attention. I turned next to me, and there was the most beautiful honeysuckle plant. I thanked it for its beauty and for helping me to stop and appreciate it, and then I kept walking forward, but the feeling didn't stop.

I stopped dead in my tracks, turned around, again, and walked back to the bush. I clearly heard it say, "Take this. It is my gift to you," and my eye went straight to one of the flowers. I was so grateful. I picked it and thanked the plant and was about to go on my way, again, when it said, "No, you get one more," so I picked the next one it brought my eye to, thanked the plant one last time, and went on my way. As I was walking I got the clear feeling that I needed to make a flower essence with it, and the eclipse was only a few days away- it was perfect. I wasn't sure how I would go about making a lot of it with only two flowers, but I knew it would work itself out- I would bring them with me in a jar on the ride to Kentucky…

Gift Culture: The Gift That Gives Back

I was strolling around the farmer’s market in Burlington, Vermont, the other day with a few friends. We were walking through when we passed a stand that sold crocheted canvases that were absolutely spectacular- all sort of colours and flowers and clocks in fine-tuned detail….

Balance, Shadows, and Letting Go

Today I want to talk about the three-fold theme of this year: balance, facing your shadows, and tossing out what you don’t need. It’s been on my mind a lot all year, but more specifically this last week, and the themes seem to be touching everyone I talk to, whether I knew them previously or not. Those three things tie together in beautiful and profound ways, each theme forcing you to dive into the next and then back again. And each cycle of each theme that you experience forces you to go into the next one deeper, and then the next one deeper, yet again.

Let’s talk about balance: light and dark. We need both to survive- metaphorically, spiritually, and literally in the physical world. There is no way that we would be able to know one without the other, and if you look at it in nature, a flame is seen better at night, and the cast of sunlight creates shadows. Half the year is darker days and half the year light, half our time day and half our time night, and the list goes on….

How Our Country and Our World Came to THIS, and How We Can Rise Up

Now is our time.

Our time to shine.

Our time to step up and share who we are- as individuals, as psychics, as healers, as lovers- with the world.

Our country and our world have flipped to the shadow side. Perhaps that is why Brexit happened. Perhaps that is why Isis is happening. Perhaps that is why Trump was voted into office. The world is turning and churning, the scales of darkness and light flipping back and forth and on top of themselves and rolling around like maggots in a treehouse.

Many people are scared right now, and that is okay. I, myself, was very fearful yesterday and the day before, and even a little bit today. But now, I am excited- let me tell you why….

Embracing Pure, Raw, Naked You

All we see everywhere is censor, censor, censor anymore! What is with all this body-shaming? We were all born naked, right?

Body image issue after body image issue have emerged right before our eyes for decades. And it is my belief that a large cause for this is the fact that people do not feel comfortable in their own skin to begin with! …
