6 September 2017 Full Moon (Plus, Mercury goes direct and Neptune Retrograde)

The moon rose high in the sky in a burnt orange hue, last evening. Fall appears to be nearing. The mystery of the moon seems to grow somehow more mysterious at this time of the year. A glow came over my heart at the thought of brisk night walks through the woods, cool earth beneath my feet through the day, and a special permission from nature to turn within a little longer, and a little more often.

This month, the Harvest Moon appears full in the sign of Pisces, giving us the perfect floating current from summer into fall (fire into water), and the grace to sink into the emotions from whatever the fiery new moon and solar eclipse in Leo brought up for us. This full moon is the time to immerse ourselves in reflection and direction. It is time to flow.

My Total Solar Eclipse Experience, Part III

The sun was shining in through the tent when my alarm went off at 7am. Chris and I wanted to leave early because a) we weren't sure what the traffic was going to be like, b) Mercury Retrograde means extra time should be factored in, and c) we weren't entirely sure where we were going. Before we left, I went to thank the honeysuckle plant, and I saw that it had dropped many of its flowers through the night. I heard a voice say, "Thank you for seeing me. These are for you." And I collected the flowers with joy and thanks and put them in the jar in my car with the two flowers I had collected in GR, and the wood betony that a client had given me.

It was about 20 minutes into the trip that we stopped at a gas station "" to use the bathroom, pick up some extra water, and use their wifi to figure out where else on the eclipse line was closer and not going to be packed with 150,000 people like Hopkinsville was projected to accommodate (somehow). So while Chris filled up I found "Madisonville", which was almost an hour closer and it didn't seem that anyone was talking about. It looked good to both of us, so we were on our way through a gorgeous highway over hills and around bends through cornfields and towns…..

My Total Solar Eclipse Experience, Part II

I was starting to smile more and more as we set up camp. "What?" Chris asked. "You don't even understand what you did, just now, finding that honeysuckle," I looked at him with grateful eyes. "What? What do you mean?" At that moment I felt the urgency hit me- I really needed to pee. "I'll tell you as soon as I get back from the bathroom."

The bathroom was a couple minute walk away, and again I felt my eyes roll as I was thinking about how stupid it was to be camping and not be allowed to pee in the woods, and then the image of the honeysuckle buzzed into my mind. Rachel. I thought to myself. Get a hold of yourself. All of this is happening for a reason. You are human, and it's okay if you allow yourself to get frustrated and feel anger and fear and disappointment for a while, but it's not okay to get stuck in it. You've had your moment. You've gotten the sign to help dig you back up and out. Now use it, and move on. Look for the actual reason: Why are you really here? …

My Total Solar Eclipse Experience, Part I

It was Thursday evening of last week that I went out for a walk through my favourite wooded trail in Grand Rapids. I was going at a pretty nice clip but having to keep an eye on the ground at the path, as there was a lot of overgrowth that I was needed to wade through. I suddenly felt the need to stop and look up- something was calling for my attention. I turned next to me, and there was the most beautiful honeysuckle plant. I thanked it for its beauty and for helping me to stop and appreciate it, and then I kept walking forward, but the feeling didn't stop.

I stopped dead in my tracks, turned around, again, and walked back to the bush. I clearly heard it say, "Take this. It is my gift to you," and my eye went straight to one of the flowers. I was so grateful. I picked it and thanked the plant and was about to go on my way, again, when it said, "No, you get one more," so I picked the next one it brought my eye to, thanked the plant one last time, and went on my way. As I was walking I got the clear feeling that I needed to make a flower essence with it, and the eclipse was only a few days away- it was perfect. I wasn't sure how I would go about making a lot of it with only two flowers, but I knew it would work itself out- I would bring them with me in a jar on the ride to Kentucky…

Sirius: Experiencing our Spiritual Sun through the Lion's Gate Portal, the Elements, and Twin Connections

The Lion's Gate Portal opened sometime between 21-26 July 2017. Its pique is on 8/8, and it closes right around the time that the sun moves into Virgo- the day after the Total Solar Eclipse, on 22 August. It is at this point in time that the Sirius star system- made of Sirius A and B (twin stars?)- is closest to the earth and positioned near the sun in a way that its rays are directly hitting our planet! This happens yearly in the month of August.

The Sirian star system is greatly looked upon as our "Spiritual Sun", with earth's sun being our "Physical Sun". Thus, when its rays hit us directly here on earth, it is a gateway for spiritual enlightenment. Sirius is a star system that is speculated to have planetary systems that are mostly water. Because of the combination of water from the planets and fire from the Sirius suns, it is said that Sirius is highly associated with thunderstorms around our planet…
