The full moon in Cancer falls on the 21st of December- the day before the Winter Solstice! Read about both of them, here.Read More
As we near the end of October, the veil between our physical world and the psychic world tends to thin. The full moon closest to this time tends to illuminate that experience, as the full moon- which is in charge of psychic energy- and the sign of Taurus- which is arguably the most earth-centred of earth signs- blend together to remind us what we are made of; what we can access; who we are, as humans: a distinct mix of the two.
Additionally, Taurus is the sign that rules the planet Venus, which is currently retrograde. And boy- does this make for a GREAT dynamic!
This Aries full moon is arriving just after the Autumnal Equinox, amidst the crazy movements of all of these retrograde planets going direct. This is a time for imbalance turning to balance, for numbness and dissociation to turn into passion and motivation, for the mundane to turn into magic as we begin to turn into ourselves to prepare for hibernation and inner growth and integration.Read More
This full moon is really, truly, about weeping for yourself. It is about holding yourself in a warm embrace (perhaps with loads of tissues) as you feel all of the emotions surrounding the Big Work that you have been doing through the spring and summer of this year, and perhaps long before that. It is about the big sob. The understanding that it’s okay to cry, and it’s okay to cry for yourself and what you have been through as a human being in this lifetime (and, possibly, in other lifetimes!). It is okay, and it will be okay.Read More
Run away, and don’t look back.
No, don’t actually, but…
You will want to. You will want to feel like you are very far away, just like the full moon will be from the earth on Friday, 27 July. It is because of this that you may find it a bit more difficult to come in tune into daily life, and you may find yourself daydreaming or resenting the need to be present in your daily dealings….Read More
It’s odd, when the Universe tips things on their heads. I normally don’t write articles for new moons- article for Full Moon, guided meditation on YouTube for New Moon. But in this case, I felt it important. Why? Because this New Moon is going to act like a Full Moon.
In my last article, I stated that I regretted not posting an article for last month’s new moon in Gemini. This is why…Read More
The Summer Solstice is the time of the year when the sun rules over nature. It is the longest day and the shortest night, bringing us warmth, growth, and new heights to our growth. I specifically feel that this year's solstice has a theme of Self-Care, and really taking a time out to do something for YOU! Here is a small ritual that I have created to help you tap in in a deeper way…Read More
Okay, so, the full moon in Scorpio is happening on Sunday the 29th, and that’s a big deal. But really, it’s an even bigger deal because of the timing of everything else going on around it to enhance its energies- so let’s dive deep!
About this time last year, I couldn’t help but publish one of these suckers, as well. That is because the astrological skies have decided that April is the month to start working on ourselves, last year, and now, this year. It makes sense that Universe would be choosing the month of April to throw our Big Work at us….Read More
When I first started learning astrology when I was 11, Libra was always one of the signs I would get confused about. It confused me that it was an air sign, rather than an earth sign.
Balance has seemed like such an earthly thing to me from that point until just recently, when it has been made very apparent as to why Libra is an air sign…Read More
Happy Halloween, all! It is that time of the year, again, when the veil is thinnest. Many people ask me what I do for Halloween, and the answer is multifold, as I celebrate throughout the month. Halloween is many things: It is the evening of the Hallowed from Catholic tradition, where the souls of our dead beloved are honoured, it is the trick-or-treat dress-up-in-costumes wonder of door-to-door spooks and smiles, it is the box office's favourite time of the year to bring in revenue for horror films, and it is an old Pagan Celtic holiday celebrating both the last harvest of the year through animal sacrifice so that the meat could be frozen through the winter, and also the thinning of the veil between our world and the astral realm.Read More
